How much taxes did Meta, Google and Apple pay to the budget of Kazakhstan?

From the beginning of this year, foreign companies that provide services on the Internet, as well as foreign trading platforms (marketplaces) which ones are selling goods to individuals via the Internet must pay VAT or “GOOGLE tax” . This was reported in the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Registration requirements for foreign companies that pay GOOGLE tax have been simplified. For example, in order to get registered, a foreign company simply needs to send a letter to the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, thereby able go through the conditional registration procedure.

Since the beginning of the year, 37 foreign companies have passed the conditional registration procedure, including Apple, Meta, Google, Ebay, Amazon and many other global companies and so these companies have paid tax in the amount of 6.1 billion tenge in this year.

The largest amounts of tax were paid by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (KZT 1.6 billion) and Apple Distribution International Limited (KZT 1.1 billion), which are residents of Ireland, as well as iHerb LLC (1. 4 billion tenge), which is a US resident.
