Kazakhstanis to send nearly 100 yurts to the Turkish brothers
After a journalist from Kazakhstan Nurbek Bekbau shared on the social media a post about fundraising to help victims of the earthquake in Türkiye, Kazakhstanis dediced to send about 100 yurts to them their Brothers in Türkiye, Turanews.kz reports citing Inform.kz.
The aid campaign organizer Nurbek Bekbau told that 45 yurts and household items were bought with the collected 20 million tenge.
“We were able to raise over 20 million tenge ( about 45 thousand US dollars). We have already transferred money for the purchase of 45 yurts, which cost 17 million 300 thousand tenge. For the remaining amount, we will use it for purchasing necessary household items,” Nurbek said.
The footage shows 45 yurts being loaded onto trucks. The yurts were taken to the warehouse of Turkish Airlines, which is located at the Almaty airport. Tomorrow morning they will be sent to Türkiye on a big plane. Journalist Nurbek Bekbau is also flying to Türkiye with 12 volunteers to help build yurts there.
According to him, Kazakhstani businessmen also responded to the campaign and they have already bought about 50 yurts. Totally about 100 yurts will be sent to Türkiye.
