World Nomad Games: Today’s Sports Competitions

On September 12, athletes at the 5th World Nomad Games in Astana will compete in seven different traditional sports.

As of today, Kazakhstan’s national team has secured a total of 69 medals, with 27 gold, 17 silver, and 25 bronze.

Here is the competition schedule for September 12:

Kokpar

  • Venue: Kazanat Hippodrome
  • 10:00 a.m.: 3rd place match
  • 11:30 a.m.: Final Blue Wolf
  • 3:00 p.m.: 3rd place match
  • 4:30 p.m.: Final

Hang on a Peg

  • Venue: Ethno-village
  • 10:00 a.m.: Five milestones – Qualification and final
  • 3:00 p.m.: Double ear – Qualification and final

Abstinence (Eagle, Karshka, Itelgi)

  • Venue: Ethno-village
  • 10:00 a.m.: Qualification and semi-final

Traditional Archery

  • Venue: ASSK Argymak
  • 10:00 a.m.: Team competition – Qualification
  • 4:00 p.m.: Semi-final
  • 4:40 p.m.: 3rd place match
  • 5:30 p.m.: Final

Koresh

  • Venue: Zhekpezhek Palace (Zh. Ushkempirov)
