Visa now accounts for 53.2 percent of all bank cards in circulation in the country, a notable rise from 43.96 percent at the end of the second quarter of last year. The majority of Visa cards, 3,218,726, are registered in the capital city Bishkek, while the Naryn region has the fewest, with 39,135 cards.
Overall, the total number of bank payment cards in Kyrgyzstan reached 7.984 million by the end of the second quarter, reflecting a 30.8 percent increase compared to last year and a 15.9 percent growth since the beginning of 2024.
