During the visit, President Mirziyoyev will engage in discussions with Kazakhstan’s leaders and attend the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, chaired by both Presidents. The agenda includes talks on strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as addressing key international and regional issues.
A primary focus of the visit will be on enhancing practical cooperation in several key areas, including trade, industrial collaboration, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, and water management.
It is anticipated that a comprehensive set of agreements aimed at bolstering bilateral ties will be signed during the visit.
Additionally, business and cultural events are scheduled to take place in Astana as part of the state visit. One of the highlights is the unveiling of a monument dedicated to the renowned Uzbek poet and thinker, Alisher Navoi.
On August 9, President Mirziyoyev will also participate in the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the inaugural summit of the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue, which will be hosted in Astana.
