President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan arrived in the city of Baku on November 23, following an invitation from President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan, TuraNews.kz reports.
The working visit commenced with a reception at the airport, where President Mirziyoyev was welcomed by First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Samir Sharifov, among other dignitaries.
The main highlight of President Mirziyoyev’s visit is his participation in the inaugural summit of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA), scheduled for November 24. This summit is expected to bring together leaders and representatives to address key economic matters and collaboration within the Central Asian region.”
