Uzbekistan’s External Debt Surpasses $64 Billion

Last year, Uzbekistan's total external debt grew by $10.8 billion, reaching $64.1 billion.

According to the Central Bank, this debt accounts for 55.7% of the country’s GDP. Of the total amount, $33.9 billion represents government debt, while $30.2 billion is external corporate debt.

For comparison, in 2023, Uzbekistan’s external debt stood at $29.7 billion, while corporate liabilities amounted to $23.6 billion.

It is worth noting that by the end of the first nine months of last year, Uzbekistan’s total public debt had reached $60.2 billion.
