Uzbekistan Urges Restraint and Political Dialogue Amid Escalation in the Middle East

Amidst the latest escalation in the Middle East, Uzbekistan has expressed profound concern and issued a call for all involved parties to exercise restraint and initiate a political resolution to the conflict.

In an official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the nation emphasized the imperative need for de-escalation and stressed the importance of pursuing peaceful means to address the ongoing crisis.

“The Uzbek side urges all parties to demonstrate restraint, refrain from further military actions, and actively engage in efforts towards a swift political settlement of the conflict,” the statement asserted.

Highlighting the potential ramifications of heightened tensions in the region, Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry underscored the necessity of averting further escalation that could lead to broader military confrontation and deepen the severity of the situation.

The statement comes in the wake of Iran’s recent overnight attack on Israel, during which more than 300 missiles and drones were launched, with the majority intercepted. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu subsequently declared that the assault had been successfully repelled.
