Uzbekistan-U.S. Trade Surges 72% in First Seven Months of 2024

Bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and the United States has experienced a remarkable surge in the first seven months of 2024.

According to the country’s Statistics Agency, the trade turnover between the two nations reached a total of $553.3 million during this period, marking a significant increase of 72% compared to the same time last year.

This substantial growth has propelled the United States into the top 10 largest trading partners of Uzbekistan. Exports from Uzbekistan to the United States have seen a particularly impressive rise, increasing by 120.8% to $185.3 million. Meanwhile, imports from the United States have also grown by 54.8%, reaching $368 million.

It’s important to note that this surge in trade with the United States is part of a broader trend for Uzbekistan. The country’s total trade turnover has increased by 5.4% to $36.8 billion in the first seven months of 2024, indicating a strong overall performance in international trade.
