According to the Dunyo agency, the Consul General of Uzbekistan, Jamoliddin Abdukarimov, met with the General Director of “Kuryk Port” in Kazakhstan’s Mangystau region, Serik Akhmetov.
During the meeting, Akhmetov discussed the current state of the port and ongoing efforts to expand infrastructure in collaboration with international partners.
“To further develop the Kuryk port, a number of infrastructure projects will be implemented, including the construction of a multifunctional sea terminal called ‘Sarja.’ The transport and logistics center project will involve the construction of grain and multifunctional terminals, as well as terminals for general cargo. These developments will significantly increase the port’s capacity,” he said.
Kazakh side also expressed its readiness to accept requests from Uzbek exporters and collaborate closely with them, the statement added.
