Uzbekistan to Liberalize the Sale of All Petroleum Products

Starting January 1, 2025, all petroleum products, including automotive gasoline, will be sold in a free market environment in Uzbekistan, according to a statement from "Uzbekneftgaz."

The company announced that products from the Bukhara Oil Refinery (Bukhara NQIZ) would be exclusively sold through competitive exchange trading.

Efforts are underway to foster a competitive market for goods and services, reduce monopolies, eliminate distribution system elements, and ensure equal access to resources for all economic entities, the statement noted.

Additionally, the government is actively addressing the demand for automotive gasoline among the population, ensuring balanced supply through mobilized resources, as reported by UzA.
