According to UzA, the automotive sector accounts for 10% of Uzbekistan’s overall industrial production. Over the first ten months of this year, 338,000 passenger cars were manufactured, and more than 1,400 types of spare parts were produced. Economic reforms have reduced production costs by 4%, while export revenues reached $455 million.

In 2025, the country aims to produce 450,000 vehicles and increase export volumes to $700 million. Specific measures include enhancing localization through stronger collaboration with regional enterprises. Notably, 63 projects worth $325 million will focus on the development of 700 spare parts.
Attention was drawn to the electric vehicle plant in Jizzakh, a joint venture with BYD. The facility currently produces models such as Chazor and Song Plus Champion, with plans to expand the lineup in the coming years. The second phase of the project, valued at $300 million, aims to increase annual production to 200,000 electric vehicles, with a third phase targeting 500,000 units.
Mirziyoyev emphasized the need for additional production facilities and the development of EV spare parts in collaboration with Chinese partners. He also tasked local enterprises with securing orders based on cooperative agreements.
