Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan Submit Joint Bid to Host 2031 AFC Asian Cup
Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan have officially submitted a joint bid to host the 2031 AFC Asian Cup, the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) announced.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has begun reviewing bids from nations vying to host the prestigious tournament. The Central Asian nations have expressed confidence in their ability to organize the competition at a high level, highlighting recent infrastructure upgrades and experience in hosting international events.
“Our stadiums in Tashkent, Namangan, Fergana, and Karshi meet international standards. Additionally, hosting AFC U-20 and U-23 Championships, as well as the FIFA Futsal World Cup, has strengthened our organizational expertise. Central Asia is ready to showcase its hospitality, professionalism, and passionate football fan base,” UFA stated.
As of February 24, separate bids have also been submitted by the UAE, Indonesia, and Kuwait.
The 2031 AFC Asian Cup will mark the tournament’s 20th edition, featuring 24 national teams. Organized by AFC since 1956, the competition is held every four years.
The most recent edition in 2023 took place in Qatar, while Saudi Arabia is set to host the 2027 tournament.
