Uzbekistan suspends international bus transportation to Kazakhstan and Russia

Republic of Uzbekistan has suspended regular bus services on international routes since January 13, the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan reports.

“Due to heavy weather conditions, in order to ensure the safety of passenger traffic, regular international bus transportation from the Republic of Uzbekistan has been temporarily suspended since January 13 of this year,” the ministry said in a statement.

In particular, on January 12 of this year, a bus from Uzbekistan froze at the 819th kilometer of the Samara-Shymkent highway. There were two citizens of Kazakhstan and 31 citizens of the neighboring republic in the cabin.

Uzbekistan side will inform about the resumption of international communication once the weather conditions are suitable.
