Uzbekistan Plans to Open Four New Trade Corridors with Kazakhstan

Uzbekistan is considering opening four additional trade corridors to boost trade volume with Kazakhstan.

This initiative was announced by Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, during a meeting with entrepreneurs in the Zhetysu region.

He also noted that Tashkent is modernizing border checkpoints, which is expected to facilitate trade expansion between the two countries.

Previously, it was reported that trade centers could be established in Tashkent and Astana to strengthen economic cooperation.

Currently, over 1,000 enterprises with Kazakh investment operate in Uzbekistan, reflecting the deepening regional ties between the two nations.
