Uzbekistan has officially rolled out Wallet in Telegram, an international cryptocurrency wallet built directly into the Telegram messenger, Trend Agency reports.
The service enables users to buy, sell, send and receive digital assets without installing any external application. It supports local payment systems and allows smooth transactions inside Telegram’s interface. The platform works with Bitcoin, Toncoin, USDT and more than 200 other tokens.
The project is powered by Asterium, one of Uzbekistan’s leading crypto ecosystems, providing secure transactions through Humo, Visa and Mastercard cards.
Its launch has been licensed by the National Agency for Perspective Projects (NAPP), aligning with the country’s strategy to develop a regulated digital finance market.
Wallet in Telegram currently has over 150 million registered users worldwide and aims to expand to 15 additional markets within the next two years.
