Uzbekistan hosts First Halal Forum

Tashkent hosted the First Halal Forum of the Republic of Uzbekistan, organized in cooperation with the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan, the International Association of Islamic Business, and the Lithuanian halal certification company World Halal Trust Group, Turanews.kz reports citing UzA .

The concept of halal (that is, permitted) refers to products certified in accordance with the Islamic religion, and halal standards define the requirements for the production, storage, transportation, sale, and labeling of products in accordance with the provisions of the Islamic religion.

Malaysia, Türkiye, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Indonesia are the leaders in implementing the halal standard.

Today Halal branded products enjoy special attention in the European Union, United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, China, India, Latin America, New Zealand, and Thailand.

The CIS countries export their products to Muslim countries – Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Jordan, Egypt, and Bahrain under the Halal brand. As the number of Muslims in the world increases, so does the demand for products made in accordance with the requirements of the Halal standard.
