US Funds Fight Against “Disinformation” in Kazakhstan

The White House has released details of spending by the Biden administration, revealing that funds were allocated to "combating disinformation in Kazakhstan," according to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

During a briefing, Jean-Pierre criticized the Biden administration’s spending, citing examples such as $2 million on gender reassignment surgery in Guatemala and millions more on a new “Sesame Street” show in Iraq.

“They spent $20 million to create a new show in Iraq and $4.5 million to combat ‘disinformation’ in Kazakhstan,” Jean-Pierre stated. “President Biden also allocated $6 million to ‘fund tourism’ in Egypt.”

The press secretary did not clarify what specific “disinformation” the funds were intended to combat in Kazakhstan.
