The event gathered key figures, including First Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Akan Rakhmetullin, Acting UN Resident Coordinator in Kazakhstan Stephen O’Malley, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Türkiye to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mustafa Kapucu and ambassadors from Brazil and other diplomatic missions. Experts and representatives of international organizations also participated.
Discussions focused on Kazakhstan’s contributions to global diplomacy, including nuclear disarmament, regional security, and multilateral cooperation. Rakhmetullin emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to a multipolar world, quoting President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who stated that the UN remains an irreplaceable global institution.
O’Malley highlighted international cooperation as key to stability and sustainable development, stressing Kazakhstan’s leadership in promoting peace.
The session also explored the UN’s adaptation to modern global challenges, the impact of technology and globalization, and the organization’s evolving role in maintaining international peace and security.
