Union of Notaries of Turkic World countries created
On October 5, 2023, the chairmen of the notary chambers of Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan signed a Memorandum on the creation of the Union of Notaries of the Turkic World Countries, TuraNews.kz reports.
The signing ceremony was held in Ankara, Türkyiye, and was attended by the Ministers of Justice of the respective countries, as well as the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The creation of the Union of Notaries is a significant step towards strengthening cooperation and collaboration in the legal field among the Turkic world countries. The Union will provide a platform for notaries to share best practices, exchange knowledge, and develop new and innovative ways to serve their clients.
The Union is also expected to play an important role in protecting the rights and interests of citizens and businesses in the Turkic world countries. By providing a unified framework for notarial services, the Union will make it easier for people to do business and invest across the region.
The signing of the Memorandum was followed by bilateral meetings between the Minister of Justice of Kazakhstan, Azamat Yeskarayev, and the heads of the ministries of justice of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. The meetings focused on discussing ways to further strengthen cooperation in the legal field.
