Unfavorable Weather Expected in Major Cities in Kazakhstan
According to meteorologists from the RSE "Kazhydromet," unfavorable weather conditions will persist in three major cities of Kazakhstan on August 17, 18, and 19, 2024. While residents of the capital will experience overcast skies, long-awaited rain and sunshine are expected in Almaty and Shymkent.
Astana
- August 17: Variable cloudiness, rain, possible thunderstorms during the day. Southwest winds at 9-14 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will be +10…+12°C, and daytime temperatures +22…+24°C.
- August 18-19: Partly cloudy, with occasional rain and thunderstorms. Nighttime temperatures +11…+13°C, and daytime temperatures +21…+23°C.
Almaty
- August 17: Cloudy with occasional rain and thunderstorms. Strong winds are possible. Nighttime temperatures +21…+23°C, and daytime temperatures +30…+32°C.
- August 18: Cloudy, with rain, and occasional heavy rain with possible hail. Wind speeds during thunderstorms may reach 15-20 m/s. Nighttime temperatures +17…+19°C, and daytime temperatures +23…+25°C.
- August 19: Cloudy at night with rain and thunderstorms. Nighttime temperatures +15…+17°C, and daytime temperatures +25…+27°C.
Shymkent
