UNESCO’s “Young Eyes on the Silk Road” Photography Contest opens for submissions

UNESCO has launched the 2023 “Young Eyes on the Silk Road” Photography Contest, inviting young people aged 14 to 25 to share their unique perspectives on the Silk Roads through photography, Turanews.kz reports.

The contest is open to young people from all over the world, and the three themes for this year’s competition are “Architecture,” “Monuments,” and “Urbanism.” Entries can be devoted to any of these themes, but the main condition is that they must showcase the mutual influence of people living along the Silk Roads.

The contest is divided into two age categories: 14 to 17 years old and 18 to 25 years old. In each category, three winners will be selected, and each winner will receive a professional camera. In addition, about 60 of the best photographs from the competition will be featured in a professional photo album and will be displayed at an exhibition that will travel to different parts of the world.

The deadline for submitting entries is July 31, 2023. For more information and to submit your entry, please visit the UNESCO website.
