Ukraine and Russia have engaged in a significant humanitarian gesture by exchanging the bodies of deceased soldiers, TuraNews.kz reports.
According to information shared by the Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War on its Telegram channel, a total of 94 bodies of deceased soldiers have been repatriated to Ukraine.
Shamsail Saraliev, a representative of the parliamentary coordination group on military operations and a State Duma deputy, provided details to Russian RBC Agency. According to Saraliev, the Ministry of Defense was responsible for returning 80 bodies of deceased Russian soldiers in this solemn exchange. The humanitarian act underscores a collaborative effort between the two nations amid the complexities of their ongoing situation.
