TURKSOY Secretary General Raev met with the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Mr. Nazarbekov

Within the framework of their official visit to Uzbekistan TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev and his Deputy Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilal Çakıcı met with the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Mr. Ozodbek Nazarbekov.

In the meeting held on the occasion of his first official visit to the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan following his election as Secretary General of TURKSOY, Mr. Sultan Raev discussed issues pertaining to the mutual cooperation between  Uzbekistan and TURKSOY and exchanged views on joint activities to be carried out in the future.

While both parties stressed the fact that TURKSOY is the common voice of the Turkic World on an international and global scale in terms of the common culture, traditions, language, literature, history of kindred Turkic peoples, they also touched upon the importance of activities carried out by TURKSOY which is the first international organization of culture and art of the Turkic World.

Within the framework of its visit to Uzbekistan, the delegation of TURKSOY headed by its Secretary General Sultan Raev also attended a series of meetings and paid a visit to  H. E. Mr. Olgan Bekar, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Tashkent  as well as to H. E. Mr. Musa Camanbayev, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to  Tashkent.

Issues discussed in the meetings concerned activities carried out by TURKSOY as well as its future projects and ties among TURKSOY member countries.
