TURKSOY Secretary General Raev met with Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Uzbekistan

A meeting was held between the Secretary General of the TURKSOY organization and Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Azamov.

“Days of Turkish Culture” dedicated to the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY will be held in Tashkent at the Palace of International Conferences from June 26 to 19. It is planned that a number of artists from the member countries of the organization will also take part in it. The event will also host a number of exhibitions dedicated to the culture of the Turkic world, such as “TURKSOY Photo Exhibition”, “Exhibition of Paintings of the Turkic world”, “Exhibition of Applied Art of masters of the Turkic world”, “Exhibition of Turkish publications”, “Exhibition of national costumes of the Turkic world”. In addition, cultural and entertainment events will be organized with the participation of artists from the member states of the TURKSOY organization.

It should be noted that at the meeting, together with the Khokimiyat of the Fergana region, a “roadmap” of international events for the period up to 2023 was developed.

Also, the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies hosted a meeting of the deputy khokim of the Ferghana region, graduate of the University of Oriental Studies Khurshid Akhmedov with the Secretary General of the TURKSOY organization.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the university and the organization were discussed. At the same time, proposals were made for the further development of international scientific and practical conferences held in the Fergana region.

In addition, this year the TURKSOY organization at the university considered the opening of the TURKSOY cabinet.

TURKSOY was founded in 1993 as a result of an agreement between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Turkey. Later, other countries joined the organization as observers.

The purpose of the Turkish organization is to strengthen the spiritual closeness and fraternal unity of the Turkic peoples, to introduce the Turkic culture to the world and to transmit its traditions to future generations.
