TURKSOY Secretary General Meets with Trabzonspor Officials
On July 25, Sultan Rayev, the Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), met with the leadership of the Turkish football club Trabzonspor. The meeting was organized by the club's Secretary General, Kemal Ozturk.
During the discussion, Ozturk highlighted Trabzonspor’s commitment to focusing on the Turkic world in its activities. He mentioned that Azerbaijan had already participated in the club’s recent football school event. “I am delighted to see the strengthening friendship and brotherhood among our young people,” Ozturk stated.
Sultan Rayev, in response, expressed that TURKSOY places significant importance on cultural and sports events for young people, as they are seen as the future of the Turkic world. He also mentioned that the organization is planning to host football tournaments featuring teams from the Turkic republics.
The meeting concluded with Kemal Ozturk presenting a Trabzonspor jersey to Sultan Rayev and Sait Yusuf. The attendees also posed for a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
