Turkmenistan sends another humanitarian aid to Türkiye

On February 15, Turkmenistan sent another humanitarian aid for the people in Türkiye who affected by the devastating earthquakes. The Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Togan Oral said in a tweet.

According to Togan Oral, 1,500 plaids and 10 generators were transported to Türkiye from Ashgabat on the Turkish Airlines plane within the framework of a joint cooperation between the Turkish Embassy in Ashgabat and the Women’s Organization of Turkmenistan.

“I would like to express my gratiude to the Turkish companies operating in Turkmenistan and their employees, the dear citizens of Turkmenistan, as well as the government of Turkmenistan for their contribution to humanitarian assistance,” Togan Oral said on his Twitter page.

The previous plane with a group of specialists and humanitarian cargo for the victims of the earthquake took off last Tuesday from Ashgabat to Türkiye.

Recall that on February 6, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8. hit the southern side of Türkiye and in the afternoon, a second strong impacth of earthquake with the magnitude 7.6 occurred in same area . The earthquakes were followed by 3,170 aftershocks, according to the Turkish Emergency and Disaster Management Authority. According to the latest data, the death toll from the earthquake reached 35,418 people, and the number of victims – 105,505 people.
