In various regions of Turkmenistan, the sale of flight tickets to individuals who had received official job offers in Russia has been suspended.
According to a report published by The Times of Central Asia newspaper on April 9, 2024, the decision came in the wake of the terrorist attack at Moscow’s “Crocus City Hall.”
Following the attack, labor migration from Turkmenistan to Russia abruptly halted as of March 22, 2024. Prospective workers who had received job offers and applied for visas were informed that they would be unable to purchase tickets.
