The opening event saw attendance from government officials, artists, scholars, and public figures from both countries, TuraNews.kz reports.
During the ceremony, Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of Culture and Information, Erbol Alikulov, highlighted the significance of Magtymguly Fragi, stating that his legacy represents friendship and peace throughout the Turkic world.
Tomorrow, the Cultural Days will feature the presentation of Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s book “Makhtumkuli” at Kazakhstan’s National Academic Library. The day will also include an exhibition of Turkmen folk art and museum artifacts, followed by a Gala concert at the Kazakh National Music and Drama Theater named after Kalibek Kuanyshbaev.
Wednesday’s activities will include the screening of the film “Red Apple” directed by Hekim Alavov, a one-man show titled “The Sage,” and a display of traditional Turkmen clothing.
The event will conclude on June 27 with a final Gala concert featuring artists from both countries.
