Turkmenistan and Japan Explore Collaboration in Digital Technologies

As part of a working visit to Japan, Turkmenistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, held talks with Japan's Minister of Digital Affairs, Taro Kono. The discussions focused on partnership matters in digitalizing the economy and infrastructure, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and other advanced IT solutions.

The negotiations centered around partnership matters in the realm of digitalizing the economy and infrastructure, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and other advanced IT solutions. The meeting outlined new areas of collaboration between the two nations in the domain of digital technologies and innovation.

Additionally, the Turkmenistan delegation conducted negotiations at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism of Japan, along with discussions with representatives of prominent Japanese IT companies, including NTT Group and NEC Corporation. The discussions explored prospects for cooperation in the fields of transport, logistics, and telecommunications, with digitalization being highlighted as a key priority within the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and Japan.
