According to the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan, trade between the two countries reached $455.5 million during this period, a 23% increase from $368.4 million in the same period last year.
Turkmenistan’s exports to Uzbekistan were worth over $407.5 million, a 36% rise from $299.1 million in 2023. Conversely, Turkmenistan’s imports from Uzbekistan fell by 30%, totaling $48 million compared to $69.2 million the previous year.
Overall, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover exceeded $26.7 billion in the first five months of 2024, a 3% increase from $25.9 billion in the same period of 2023.
In 2023, the total trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was $1.09 billion, marking a 17.8% increase from $928.6 million in 2022.
