Turkmenistan Airlines to restart betwenn Almaty and Ashgabat
Turkmenistan Airlines has resumed flights between Almaty and Ashgabat. The frequency of flights is once a week, Turanews.kz reports citing the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakshtan.
“Transportation is carried out on the route Almaty – Ashgabat with a frequency of one flight a week on Fridays on Boeing-737 type aircraft,” the report says.
It is noted that this will contribute to the development of trade, economic, business, tourism and cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
Recall that the “open skies” regime was extended until the end of 2027 in Kazakhstan. It operates at 12 international airports in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Taraz, Karaganda, Semey, Aktau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Pavlodar, Petropavlovsk, Kokshetau and Turkestan, Aktobe.
