The Turkish wrestlers displayed exceptional performance at the European Championships in Bucharest, Romania, securing an impressive haul of seven gold, six silver, and four bronze medals. This remarkable achievement propelled Türkiye to the top of the standings with 115 points, ending a 31-year drought since their last European championship win.

In a closely contested competition, the Azerbaijani team secured the second spot with a commendable performance, earning five gold, three silver, and eight bronze medals. Meanwhile, the Armenian team rounded out the top three, securing four gold, no silver, and two bronze medals.

With Georgia ranking 110th with just 2 points and Azerbaijan occupying the 107th spot with 3 points, Türkiye’s dominance in the championship became evident.

Reflecting on their outstanding performance, Tükiye’s freestyle wrestling team concluded the European Championship with a total of 2 medals, including 2 gold, 2 silver, and 6 bronze. Furthermore, their victory in the team competition marked the first time in 31 years since their triumphant display at the European Championship held in Istanbul back in 1993.
