Türkiye’s Exports to Turkic Countries Double in Four Years

Türkiye has significantly increased its exports to brotherly republics, including Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, over the past four years.

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), trade volume between Türkiye and member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) doubled in 2024, surpassing a record-breaking $11.1 billion.

In 2020, Türkiye’s exports to these countries amounted to only $5.4 billion. This figure grew to $7.2 billion in 2021, $8 billion in 2022, and $9.9 billion in 2023.

In 2024, Kazakhstan became the largest importer of Turkish products, with $3.3 billion in trade, representing a significant share of the total exports. Azerbaijan followed with $3.1 billion, while Uzbekistan imported $2.2 billion worth of Turkish goods. Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan also showed strong demand, with imports reaching $1.4 billion and $1.1 billion, respectively.

The main products exported by Türkiye to Turkic republics included boilers, machinery, mechanical appliances, and nuclear reactors, totaling $2.6 billion. Electrical machinery and equipment ranked second, accounting for $1.1 billion.

Additionally, Türkiye exported $530.1 million worth of precious metals and jewelry, as well as $529.8 million in automobiles and auto parts.
