Turkish women’s volleyball team booked their place in the semifinals of the Volleyball Nations League on Thursday with a dominant 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-18) win over Italy in Arlington, Texas, Turanews.kz reports.
Melissa Vargas led the Turkish attack with 16 points, while Eda Erdem Dundar and Zehra Gunes added 11 points apiece. Francesca Villani was Italy’s top scorer with 11 points, while Sylvia Nwakalor had 10.
Türkiye will face the host nation, the United States, in the semifinals on Sunday. Poland will take on China in the other semifinal match. The women’s final will be held on July 17.
