Türkiye to export up to 4 million cubic meters of natural gas per day to Romania

Türkiye’s state oil and gas company, BOTAŞ, has signed an agreement with Romania’s OMV Petrom to supply Romania with up to 4 million cubic meters of natural gas per day, starting on October 1, Turanews.kz reports.

The agreement also includes cooperation in the field of supply, storage, production, and sale of natural gas, as well as in the development of green energy technologies.

This agreement is the latest in a series of natural gas export agreements that Türkiye has signed with European countries in recent months, including Greece, Bulgaria, and Hungary. These agreements are part of Türkiye’s efforts to expand its contribution to ensuring European energy security and diversifying energy sources on the continent.

BOTAŞ is also continuing negotiations with many other countries and companies on the issue of new export agreements.
