Türkiye rises to 6th place in the European wind power rankings
In Türkiye, the wind energy capacity which is added last year was 867 megawatts, while the total installed power has risen up to11 thousand 969 megawates and by rising one ranking compared to the previous year last year, Türkiye became the 6th in Europe.
According to the information compiled by Anadolu Agency the “2022 European Wind Statistics and 2023-2027 Outlook” report prepared by the European Wind Energy Association WindEurope, the average capacity of the wind turbines added to the system last year was 4.1 megawatts for onshore wind farms and 8 megawatts for offshore wind farms.
In the report, last year’s total wind power capacities in Europe were recorded as 66 thousand 322 megawatts in Germany, 29 thousand 798 megawatts in Spain, 28 thousand 499 megawatts in the United Kingdom, 21 thousand 135 megawatts in France and 14,585 megawatts in Sweden.
Türkiye’s total wind energy capacity of 11 thousand 969 megawat rose to Megawat in 2022.
By reaching 12,000 megawatts, the established wind power has become one of the 6 countries in Europe, which constitutes one -third of wind energy in terms of installed power.
