Türkiye Introduces New Regulations for Online Shopping
As of April 1, new e-commerce regulations have come into effect in Türkiye.

According to Zakon.kz, citing Turkey Today, all products sold online must now meet the following requirements:
- A real and complete photo of the seller, along with their full name, postal, and email address
- Information about the importer or manufacturer
- Warnings in Turkish
- Compliance labels
- Detailed product description, including model and specifications
If the required information is incomplete or false, the seller will receive a request for correction. Failure to comply will result in the advertisement being blocked. If the product poses a health risk, it will be immediately removed from the platform.
Online marketplaces are also subject to new obligations: they must store safety data on products and respond to reports of unsafe items within 24 hours. Additionally, they must establish a customer complaint center.
Foreign companies shipping products to Türkiye are now required to establish an official representative office in the country. Failure to do so will result in a ban on selling in the Turkish market.
