Türkiye Increases Minimum Pension by 15.75%

The Turkish government has decided to raise the minimum pension starting from 2025 to improve the welfare of retirees and support their purchasing power.

At the beginning of the new year, pensions for over 16 million retirees receiving minimum payments were increased, according to Kazinform agency.

Vedat Işıkhan, Türkiye’s Minister of Labor and Social Protection, announced that the minimum pension for 2025 will amount to 14,469 Turkish liras (approximately 202,000 tenge).

Economists highlight that this pension increase marks an important step in the country’s social policy. It reflects the government’s commitment to improving the quality of life for its citizens despite challenging economic conditions.

It is worth noting that in July 2024, the minimum pension was raised from 10,000 to 12,500 liras.
