Türkiye Halts Lemon Exports Due to Cold Weather and Frost

Türkiye has temporarily suspended lemon exports following unexpected cold snaps and frost in key citrus-producing regions such as Adana, Mersin, and Hatay.

The decision was announced by the Ministry of Trade on April 7, as reported by AZERTAC.

The ministry cited lower yields, the need to meet domestic demand, and to curb speculative price increases as the main reasons behind the suspension. The export ban takes effect on April 8. Authorities say they will monitor the market and may introduce further measures if necessary.
