Türkiye Exports Goods to 165 Countries in Turkish Lira

Türkiye is increasingly promoting the use of its national currency in foreign trade. According to the Ministry of Trade, the country exported goods to 165 countries using the Turkish lira in July 2025 alone, AZERTAC reported.

Between January and July 2025, the total volume of trade conducted in lira exceeded 830.5 billion TRY, marking a 35.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

In July, exports made in lira rose by 8.8%, reaching 28.4 billion TRY. Imports surged more significantly — by 51.3% — amounting to 104.2 billion TRY. Overall, Türkiye’s foreign trade in lira for the month surpassed 132 billion TRY.

More than 39,500 Turkish companies were involved in transactions using the national currency last month.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) reported positive inflation data for July, with the rate slowing to 33.5%, signaling improving macroeconomic stability.
