Türkiye earthquake death toll rises to 16,170

On February 9, the death toll from earthquakes in Türkiyed has risen to 16,170 people and more than 64 thousand were injured. This was announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

“On Monday there were devastating earthquakes in our country. Massive destructions. I regret to report that our death toll is 16,170 and 64,194 people were affected,” he said.

Recalling that two strong shocks on Monday, February 6, shook the southeastern part of Türkiye, also affecting several provinces of Syria.
