Türkiye Aims for Carbon Neutrality by 2054

Türkiye aims to reduce its carbon emissions to zero within 30 years, the country's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, announced.

At the 6th Turkish-German Energy Forum in Berlin, Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, announced that the government plans to implement comprehensive measures to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in sectors such as energy, transport, industry, and agriculture.

He emphasized that transitioning to a zero-carbon economy will not only address environmental issues but also create new jobs and attract investments.

Bayraktar also stated that Türkiye plans to invest $100 billion in renewable energy sources by 2035.
