Turkish University to Establish Branch at Astana Medical School
A branch of Istanbul Medipol University will soon be established in Kazakhstan through an agreement signed between prominent medical institutions in Türkiye and Kazakhstan.
Akmaral Alnazarova, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, praised the advancements in the Turkish healthcare system and expressed gratitude to Turkish colleagues for their commitment to collaborating on medical education, research, and clinical practices. She specifically highlighted Türkish expertise in hospital management and disaster medicine.
Omer Jeran, the Rector of Istanbul Medipol University, affirmed Türkish readiness to launch joint initiatives aimed at enhancing medical education and practices in Kazakhstan.
Under the agreement, Istanbul Medipol University will set up a branch at Astana Medical University. This collaboration will involve Turkish educators and clinicians delivering lectures and master classes in Astana. Additionally, students and faculty from Astana Medical University will have opportunities for training and practical experience at clinics and research facilities in Türkiye.
Established in 2009, Istanbul Medipol University ranks among the top 300 and top 400 universities globally according to The Impact Rating World University Rankings and QS World University Rankings, respectively. It is also recognized as one of the top three universities in Türkiye, renowned for its achievements in medical science and technology, with 13 modern university hospitals located in Istanbul.
