Turkish soldiers sends aid to the flood-affected people in Kosovo
The Presidency of the Turkish Representative Delegation, which works within the Kosovo Peace Force (KFOR), provided clothing aid to those in need affected by the flood in Mitrovica, Kosovo.
In the statement made by the Presidency of the Kosovo Turkish Representative Delegation, it was stated that clothing aid was given to those affected by the flood in Mitrovica and the new statement read: “Turkish soldiers have shown once again that they are always with the people of Kosovo.”
While the flood that occurred in Kosovo on Thursday caused material damage, especially in the municipalities of Mitrovica and Skenderay, there was no loss of life.
In the statement made by the Hydrometeorology Institute of the country, it was reported that the rains will continue until January 25 and there is a possibility of flooding in other parts of the country.
Balkan countries, including Albania, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, have been battling floods caused by heavy rains in recent days.
The Turkish military continues to stand by the people of Kosovo with its activities in various fields in Kosovo, where it has been serving since July 1999 as part of the peace support operation.
