On April 24, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reaffirmed their nations’ deep-rooted ties during a high-level telephone call.
According to the Akorda press service, President Erdoğan extended his congratulations to the Kazakh leader on the successful national referendum and the adoption of the new Constitution, hailing it as a transformative step for the country’s future.
The conversation finalized details for Erdoğan’s upcoming state visit to Kazakhstan, scheduled for May 14, 2026. This visit will coincide with the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting and an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States in the spiritual capital, Turkestan. In turn, President Tokayev accepted an invitation to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in April. Both leaders agreed that these diplomatic milestones are essential for injecting fresh momentum into the strategic partnership between the two brotherly nations.
