Turkish multi-purpose radar system CARE (Resolution) will be used in Azerbaijan airspace

Multi-purpose radar system CARE which was produced by Turkish engineers, will be used in brother country, Azerbaijan.

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye stated that a protocol signed between the State Airports Authority (DHMI) of the country and Azerbaijan Airlines Air Navigation Subsidiary (AZANS-Azeraeronavigation).

Within the scope of the protocol, the sales contract of the CARE system, one of the domestic and national R&D projects, whose intellectual and industrial property rights belong to DHMI and developed entirely by Turkish engineers, was signed with Azerbaijan.

The following was noted in the statement.

“After the integration activities, the installation of the equipment will be completed in three separate air traffic control units, primarily at Baku Haydar Aliyev Airport. After the acceptance tests are carried out, the users will be given ‘User Trainings’, ‘Airspace Identification Training’ and ‘Maintenance Attitude Training’. The installation process of CARE systems is approximate. “It will be finished in 7 months. Our country will continue to carry out its activities in line with its vision of being a producing country, not a consumer of technology. Every project we develop with domestic and national resources will continue to make significant contributions to our aviation and national economy.”

In the statement, it was noted that the CARE system is a human-machine interface application that serves more than 40 air traffic control units in Turkish airspace and displays real-time flight data on the map as a part of air traffic control management.
