Turkish Authorities Detain 147 Suspected ISIS Affiliates

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Erlikaya announced on Tuesday that Turkish law enforcement has detained 147 individuals suspected of ties to the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS), which is banned in Russia.

In a social media post, Minister Erlikaya confirmed the arrests, revealing that the anti-terrorism operations were carried out across numerous provinces, including Antalya.

According to the minister, some of the apprehended individuals are believed to have actively participated in IS activities and may have provided financial support to the group.

Additionally, during the raids, law enforcement confiscated foreign currency and various documents, as disclosed by the head of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs.
