Turkish Airlines carries more passengers than ever before

Turkish Airlines, the flag carrier of Türkiye, flew 1,664 flights per day and carried up to 286,000 passengers.

Turkish Airlines (THY), the flag carrier of Turkish civil aviation, has broken a historical record for the number of flights and passengers per day, Turanews.kz reports.

The airline operated 1,664 flights per day and served 285,877 passengers on June 22, 2023. This is the highest number of flights and passengers that THY has ever carried in a single day.

The press secretary of the company, Yahya Ustun, announced the record on his social media page. He said that THY is “proud to have achieved this historic milestone” and that the airline “will continue our steps to achieve new records.”

The record-breaking day was due to a combination of factors, including the start of the summer travel season and the lifting of travel restrictions in many countries. THY is also expanding its network of destinations, which has led to an increase in passenger traffic.

The record-breaking day is a sign of the strong recovery of the Turkish aviation industry. THY is one of the world’s fastest-growing airlines, and it is expected to continue to grow in the coming years.
