Shahin Mustafayev, President of the Turkic Academy, met with Gelegdorj Eregzen, Director of the Institute of Archaeology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, on August 8, 2023, as part of his visit to Mongolia, Turanews.kz.
Mustafayev and Eregzen discussed the results of the Nomgon-2023 archaeological expedition, which was jointly conducted by the Turkic Academy and the Mongolian Institute of Archaeology. The expedition excavated a number of important sites, including a Bronze Age settlement and a mausoleum.
Mustafayev and Eregzen also exchanged views on upcoming projects. They agreed to continue their cooperation in the field of archaeology and to work together to promote the study of Turkic history and culture.
At the end of the meeting, Mustafayev thanked Eregzen for the warm welcome and expressed confidence in the continuation of their joint research work for many years to come.
